Completing a Design Plan
More then you might realize goes into implementing a design plan; these are details that Interior Designers and Interior Decorators address on a daily basis. The following are questions a professional might ask themselves upon completing a design plan.
Have I selected fabric for window treatments, bedding and upholstery?
Have I addressed the flooring and the ceiling?
Have I selected my wall color?
Have I addressed my trim?
Have I selected my wood finishes?
Do my textures vary?
Are there at least two patterns?
Is there contrast in the room?
Are the patterns and textures of similar scale relative to the size of the piece of furniture or wall they cover?
Is the bed balanced by a heavy object or print?
Is there a focal point?
Is there a thread or color or other feature that holds the space together?
Is there variety in color or other features so that one item does not make the room look bland?
